대표 인사말
수많은 의학자들의 수고로 의료계는 지난 수십년간 끊임없이 많은 발전을 이루어오고 있습니다. 병마와 싸우는 인간의 생명을 살리는 여러 기술은 물론, 어떠한 질병 인자가 잠재하고 있으며 다양한 질병을 미연에 예방하기 위한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있습니다. 뿐만 아니라 IT 기술이 접목되며 과거에 상상할 수도 없었던 다양한 가능성들이 열리고 있습니다.
하지만, 안타깝게도 전세계 많은 지역은 여전히 매우 열악한 의료 현실에 놓여 있습니다. 의료진의 부족은 물론 선진 의료 교육의 도입이 되지 않아 치료 및 수술이 아직 저급한 수준에 머물고 있는 많은 나라가 있습니다. 의료지도자협의체에 모인 시니어 교수진들은 이런 현실을 그냥 지나칠 수 없어 한자리에 모였습니다.
수십 년전, 저희는 해외 여러 선진 국가에서 뛰어난 교수님들과 의사들로부터 한국에 도입되지 않았던 여러 수술을 배우고 트레이닝을 받는 경험을 통해 국내에서 돌아와 전에 없던 수술을 시행하고 새로운 접근으로 또 하나의 생명을 살리며 의료계를 한 걸음씩 발전 시켜나갔습니다. 저희에게 아낌없는 마음으로 의술을 가르치시던 교육자들처럼 이제는 저희도 저희보다 부족한 국가의 후배 의료인들을 교육시키고 양성해야 한다는 사명감을 갖고 있습니다.
의료계에 몸담던 지난 수십년간 목격한 국내 의료계의 눈부신 발전에 선후배, 동료 의료진께 감사할 따름이며 저희와 함께 글로벌 의료인 양성에도 함께 동참해주시기 바라겠습니다. 감사합니다.

Greetings
Thank to the effort of many brilliant and sacrificial doctors and scientists, the field of medicine has been advancing greatly and thanks to the technology, there have been many unprecedented initiatives that is completely innovating the way we approach the cure to save one's life and or to forecast and to prevent any potential life threats.
However, we shall not forget many parts of the world where they lack fortune to access such an advanced science. That is why we, senior doctors each with expertise in our own specialty, gathered together. Many of us received trainings in our earlier stage of our career from well-known physicians in medical schools and hospitals in foreign countries that had more advanced practices. And we, until now, greatly appreciate the love of medicine and of humanity the physicians showed us and we believe it's the time we return to the community where it's needed the most.
Thank you for visiting us and hope one day you will be part of the hand to make impacts on many communities.
